Privacy Notice
This notice explains which personal data RentScore processes, why we need it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and which rights you have.
Who is responsible
SERA MAKINA VE ENDUSTRI YAGLARI SAN TIC LTD STI, trading as RentScore, is the data controller for the personal data described here. This means we decide why and how your data is processed.
Data we collect and why
Account data (name, email address, login details from Google, Apple or email sign-in) to create and run your account. Content you create (surveys, rent figures, stay dates, comments, photos, favourites) to publish reports, calculate scores and rent estimates. Messages you send through the contact form or advisor chat to answer you and provide the service. Technical data (IP address, approximate country, device and browser details, language preference, usage logs) to keep the service secure, prevent fraud and improve it.
Legal basis
We process your data to perform our contract with you, on the basis of our legitimate interests in running a safe and useful service, with your consent where required (for example non-essential cookies), and to meet legal obligations.
Who we share data with
Service providers that host and run the site (cloud hosting, database, maps and AI processing); Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling reports and subscriptions, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing; professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants; and authorities when the law requires it. We never sell your personal data.
What is shown publicly
Survey answers, scores and rent figures appear in reports in an aggregated form. Your email address is never published. Approved photos and written comments are visible to everyone.
International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside Türkiye. Where this happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Retention
We keep your data while your account exists. When it is no longer needed, or you delete your account, we delete or anonymise it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections and access rules that limit who can read or change each record.
Your rights
Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and, where it applies, the GDPR, you may ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, a portable copy, object to processing, withdraw consent and complain to the data protection authority.
