Help and How-to Guide
A short guide to everything you can do on RentScore, step by step.
1. Create your account
Use the sign up button in the header and continue with Google or your email address. An account is only needed to add a property or answer a survey.
2. Look up a property
Type an address, street or neighbourhood in the search box on the home page. If the place is already in the system you will see its score and can open the comprehensive report.
3. Add a place that is missing
Open Add a place, search the address, pick it and enter the door number. Every door number is a separate record, so each flat, office or shop is scored on its own.
4. Answer the survey
The survey covers the condition of the place, building management, infrastructure, the surroundings, security, pests, costs and the property owner. Add your rent, deposit and stay dates. If you still live there, choose "I still live here" and leave the end date empty.
5. Update your answers later
Open your dashboard, choose the place and edit the survey. Your previous answers are loaded, so you only change what is different.
6. Read a comprehensive report
The report shows scores by category, rent history, comparison with the street, what tenants loved, what to check and a price negotiation insight, all based on real answers.
7. Estimate a fair rent
In Rent estimate choose country, city and district, then search. You get a realistic range from comparable places and a list of properties within your budget.
8. Photos and moderation
You may upload photos of the place. They become visible after review, so wait a short while before they appear in the report.
9. Need more help?
If something does not work or a record is wrong, write to us from the email address of your account and describe the property and the problem.
